Quotation

We'll need the following information when you contact us for a quote:

  • What kind of goods are you taking out of the European Union?
  • How long will they be outside the EU?
  • Which countries will they be going to?
  • What will they be used for? (Professional use, commercial samples, or exhibition?)
  • What is the total commercial value of the goods?
  • How many pages (approximately) will the equipment list take up?

Application

We'll need the following information in order to issue your carnet:

  • Itemised equipment list (see "how to compile an equipment list" below)
  • Itinerary of countries to be visited (including countries to be transited without the goods being used)
  • Intended use of goods (professional use, commercial samples, or exhibition)
  • Date of departure from the United Kingdom
  • Name of person(s) operating the carnet - driver, tour manager, or freight agent (if known)
  • Address for delivery of the carnet (with recipient's name and phone number)
  • Invoice address

By requesting issue of an ATA Carnet from RPTM, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions for Carnets.

We usually issue carnets on the day we receive the necessary information, and the Chamber of Commerce takes another day to complete the process.
As long as we have sufficient notice to meet courier deadlines, you should normally receive your carnet on the second working day after making your application.

It's always best to give us as much notice as possible, but we appreciate that sometimes everything happens at the last minute.
We can therefore arrange an express issue service if necessary. Please let us know as soon as you can that you'll need a carnet, even if you don't have all the information, and we'll get the process started and establish the relevant deadlines so that even a last-minute job can be processed smoothly and successfully.
